Donating to The Horse Shelter

Private donations keep The Horse Shelter going. We rely on donations from individuals for 75% of our operating budget. The average cost of caring for just one horse (feed and routine vet and farrier care only), is approximately $3,000.00 per year.

Become a Member

The most effective way to help The Horse Shelter and all of our equine friends is to become a member.

• Benefactor - $3,000 & above. Funds major projects like new barns and fencing.
• Barn Angel - $1,500 to $3,000. Feeds and cares for one horse for one year.
• Haystack Helper - $500 to $1,500. Buys up to 200 bales of grass or alfalfa hay.
• Stable Supporter - $100 to $500. Buys up to three new feeders or water tanks.
• Horse Lover - $100 and under. Buys up to twelve sacks of senior horse feed.
